speaking of booze…
Lady Sybil
1 oz gin
3/4 oz St. Germain elderflower liqueur
brut champagne, chilled
Combine the gin and St. Germain over ice. Shake and strain into a flute. Top with champagne.

1.5 oz ruby red grapefruit juice (fresh-squeezed!)
.5 oz sloe gin
sweet rose champagne, chilled
Add the grapefruit juice and sloe gin to a flute. Top with champagne. Stir and serve.

1.5 oz Lillet Blanc
.75 oz fresh-squeezed lemon juice
4-5 basil leaves
brut champagne, chilled
Add the basil and lemon juice to your shaker and muddle. Add Lillet and ice and then shake and strain into a flute. Top with champagne.

[And if I were to make a Downton Abbey cocktail
I’d make a Housemaid Anna:
1 1/2 oz Vodka
1/2 tsp White Creme de Menthe
1 oz Rum .50 oz of lime juice
1 dash of bitters
1/2 oz Benedictine
3 cocktail onions
Shake all ingredients (except onions) with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Top with the onions and serve.
Or simply an ale and shot of whiskey would do.]
